Red Band Michelangelo prepares to print and embroider for a change!
This week has been a great week for Michelangelo as he finished his patchwork ball and cracked on with a new project. His wish to try all the studio techniques and test out transfer printing combined with machine embroidery is where his plans are this week. The results so far are spectacular and we can't wait to see how the embroidery goes next week! #johnnyknoxville #joshbryan

Piere started his new piece of work which is another work of art. He loves the painting Starry Night and really wanted to challenge himself to building the surface of the painting using only machine embroidery, on top of a hand painted and transfer printed design. We can't wait to see the progress of this piece next week. Well done to everyone who made the video cut this week. #vangogh

Lapin has captured the very essence of the White Rabbit from Alice & Wonderland this week. We are blown away by Lapin's efforts to create such high quality machine embroidery work in his first fortnight on the course. He has been using the Bernina 707 Minimatic sewing machine and loves it. ❤️🐇

Mentor GIORGIO is our go-to repair and rescue Mentor. He has rescued many pieces of unfinished work over the last few months of being with us. We are forever grateful for the care and attention that he puts into completing all of these pieces of work. KEIFER'S cats are just one example of work that will be transformed from pieces of flat printed fabric, to a lush quilted patchwork quilt over the next couple of weeks. BERNINA 1001 - 28 YEARS OF GIVING
The Bernina 1001 belongs to Director Jo Carroll and is 28 years old this year. Jo decided the best place for this machine to be used was right here at HMP Holme House, so she also bought a Bernina plexiglass quilting table to make this machine even more desirable in the classroom. GIORGIO loves to work with this machine whenever possible. We name all of our machines and we call this particular machine ERNI ❤️!
